Parents Code of Conduct

Parents, Carers and Visitors Code of Conduct

We expect parents, carers and visitors to:

✔️ Speak to staff, children, parents, carers and visitors in a calm, respectful way.

✔️ Work together with the staff for the benefit of the children.

✔️ Model good examples of behaviour and speech on the school premises.

✔️ Assist the school in adhering to school rules and procedures.

✔️ Seek to clarify a child's version of events with the school in order to achieve a full, fair and accurate understanding.

✔️ Correct their own child's behaviour - especially before and after school - where it could otherwise lead to poor or unsafe behaviour.

✔️ Approach the school if any concerns become apparent, and we will try to resolve the matter.

In order to promote a positive school ethos, the school is unable to tolerate:

❌  Displaying disruptive, aggressive, threatening or intimidating behaviour.

❌  Using offensive language.

❌  Threatening to harm any member of staff or child, whether or not it constitutes a criminal offence.

❌  Approaching another child in order to discuss an incident or to chastise them because of their actions towards your own child.

❌  Approaching other parents to confront them about their child's behaviour.

❌  Using social media to upload photos of other children.

❌  Using social media to bring the school or staff into disrepute.

❌  Entering the school grounds in any inebriated state as a result of drugs or alcohol.

❌  Entering the school building via any entrance other than the main office.

❌  Dogs anywhere on the school grounds, even if carried, except for assistance or guide dogs.

❌ Bicycles or scooters being ridden on the school grounds.
