Woodcot Primary School

Dear Woodcot Families Early Closure: Thursday 25 June 2026 at 12:30pm. Following a detailed risk review carried out this afternoon, we have taken the decision to close school and nursery early tomorrow at 12:30pm. Children will have an earlier lunch so they will be ready to be collected at 12:30pm In order to keep our staff safe too, all children will need to be collected at 12:30pm so that staff can leave the school just after to avoid prolonged exposure to the heat. This decision has not been taken lightly. This measure has taken into account the combination of the forecast of extreme temperatures and the staffing logistics arising from a number of other local schools also closing early tomorrow. We plan to reopen fully on Friday 26 June 2026. Our current PE kit uniform adaptations will remain in place. We appreciate your understanding and support. Kind regards The Senior Leadership Team
